The kimblehook jawpiece is a kind of pelham but has a milder effect and is ridden with one rein. The rider can determine the sharpness of the bit himself. The lower the rein is attached, the greater the leverage, the sharper the bit. This jaw piece offers the rider more control over the horse than a standard jaw piece. The Kimblehook is not suitable for the inexperienced rider. The double-jointed bit has two hinge points, is shaped more towards the mouth and lies a bit looser in the mouth. This bit acts on the tongue, the layers and the corners of the mouth. Be careful with narrow lower jaws, the hinge points can then press on the layers, which can cause wounds. Compared to a single jointed bit, this bit acts more on the tongue. A double jointed mouthpiece is a standard mouthpiece. The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's saliva production in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-grey.
